A Hendersonville, Tenn., woman is proud to be the winner of Country Music artist John Michael Montgomery’s “Mad Cowboy Disease” line dance contest.

Contestant Jamie Marshall was announced as the winner after over 200 choreographers and dance instructors from across the globe were challenged to submit an original line dance for the Montgomery’s single, “Mad Cowboy Disease.” Montgomery personally called Marshall to let her know the good news.

"Receiving a personal phone call from John Michael Montgomery was unreal," Marshall said. "I've always been a fan and remember when he started his career, so winning the 'Mad Cowboy Disease' contest is really special to me."

Marshall isn’t new to the line dancing scene. She is a six-time United Country Western Dance Council award winner and currently choreographs dances for Country Music artists in Nashville.  For winning, she will receive an acoustic guitar autographed by Montgomery, which she plans to donate to a silent auction to benefit a local charity.
