Tennessee Lands Montana Movie

Following six months of negotiations, part of Miley Cyrus' movie based on her character on Disney's Hannah Montana TV series will be filmed in Tennessee.  Production is scheduled to begin in late April or early May. The film is tentatively scheduled to be released in May 2009.  

 

Cyrus' father, Billy Ray Cyrus, had been encouraging the Walt Disney Co. to shoot part of the feature film on location in the Nashville area.  Much of the film will be shot in Los Angeles, but the state of Louisiana was reportedly in the running for part of the shooting.
