Hall of Fame Announces Inductees

2/12/2008 Stephen L. Betts The newest inductees into the Country Music Hall of Fame were announced at the Hall of Fame and Museum this morning (2/12). Songwriter Tom T. Hall (pictured above), singer-songwriter Emmylou Harris, legendary entertainers The Statler Brothers, and country-music pioneer Ernest V. "Pop" Stoneman will be inducted into the Hall of Fame this year. This year, induction periods included pre-World War II ("Pop" Stoneman), World War II-1975 (Tom T. Hall, Statler Brothers) and 1975-present (Emmylou). Inductees are voted on by a Country Music Association (CMA) committee. The inductees will be honored at a ceremony at the Hall of Fame and Museum, and are likely to be recognized during the CMA Awards telecast in November.
