Country Music greats Bobby Bare, Heather Berry and Tony Mabe and Michelle Nixon saluted Hall. Television personality Ralph Emery presented Hall with his medal.  The great Reba McEntire, Daily & Vincent and Grandstaff honored the Statler Brothers, while Brenda Lee gave the group members their medals. Both inductees also performed at the event. The legendary Tom T. Hall is known for his storytelling ability, and has penned many hits for both him and other Country Music artists.  These include number ones such as "A Week in a Country Jail," "Country Is, "The Year That Clayton Delaney Died," and the notorious "Harper Valley P.T.A.," sung by Jeannie C. Riley. The Statler Brothers, Harold Reid, Phil Balsley, Don Reid, Jimmy Fortune, and the late Lew DeWitt, have been building their collective career for more than 30 years. Well known for their Grammy award-winning track, "Flowers on the Wall," the group has forged numerous hits, including the Grammy-winning "The Class of ’57," "Too Much on My Heart," and "Elizabeth."  The band retired from the road in 2002.
