“Redneck Woman” Gretchen Wilson will release her first Greatest Hits album next Tuesday, Jan. 19. The Country singer will include all her fan-favorite songs, plus a never-before-released live recording of “Barracuda.”
The Illinois native co-wrote seven and produced six of the 11 tracks on the album.
“These songs are the truth. They are people’s lives,” Wilson said in a release. “That’s the wonderful thing about sharing your music with everybody. They get to feel the same feeling that you felt.”
Wilson first entered the Country Music scene in 2004 when she released her hit single, “Redneck Woman.” Since then, she has had three No. 1 albums, taken home Female Vocalist of the Year from both the Country Music Association and the Academy of Country Music and won a Grammy for Best Female Country Vocal Performance.
