Gretchen Wilson is a Hang-Out-At-Lowe's Type of Girl

Gretchen Wilson, who achieved double platinum status with her debut album, Here For The Party, five years ago, recently discussed her no-frills image with The South Bend Tribune. Wilson, who is a member of the Musik Mafia, a loose organization of artists like Big & Rich, James Otto and others, said she considers herself the "Jessi Colter" of the Mafia group, no frills and all.
"I don’t think I am ever a girly-girl, but I definitely have my moments," Wilson said. "I never wear pink. Never. I don’t like to go shopping for clothes. Now, if you want to go to Home Depot or Lowe’s and hang out all day, I can do that. I’ll sit down and watch an episode of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition and cry my eyes out while I am painting my toenails, so I can definitely be that kind of a girl, but I am not a girly-girl."
Wilson is currently working on a new project, due by the end of the year.
