Gretchen Wilson has split with her record label SonyNashville. Gretchen put out three releases with SonyNashville, but a fourth one hasn’t come about after two singles prereleased fizzled on the charts. So much for long term relationships and loyalty.

Jamey Johnson and Randy Houser are featured on CMT On Tour 09’s 30-date schedule that starts in October. The two are friends who have written songs together in the past.   They've probably shared a drink or two also.

At select theatres across the country you can catch Sugarland’s new DVD/CD Sugarland LIVE on the inside on August 6th. Its also part of an ABC special August 3rd, and the actual DVD/CD is released August 4th. Hey, that’s next week! I better start getting all dolled up.  However, it is only for sale at WalMart.  Good luck finding it.  You need a Bloodhound.
 
New Michelle Branch Coming 
Michelle Branch is putting our her first solo album in six years this fall. Everything Comes and Goes is the title. The first single, “Sooner or Later”, will be available on iTunes July 28, yesterday. 
 
Aaron and Thea Tippin Nominated for Just Plain Folks Awards
The Just Plain Folks Awards, which were created to honor independent musicians and artists, will be held in Nashville August 29th. Aaron Tippin has been nominated for Best Country Album and Best Country Single. Meanwhile wife Thea has been nominated for Best Contemporary Christian Album. I likes them Just Plain Folks!
