“We are pleased that so many fans were a part of this overwhelmingly successful live stream event as we made Opry history,” Steve Buchanan, Grand Ole Opry Group president, said.
The MySpace Music page used Ustream to post the live video Sat., Nov. 14, and Buchanan said the Opry “has always utilized the latest in technology to deliver its unique brand of entertainment to country music listeners.”
“This success positions us to continue to widen the Opry’s distribution well into the future,” Buchanan said. “We are excited about all the possibilities before us as we break new ground in getting the Opry’s music to its fans.”
Performances at the Opry are held every weekend, and the Tuesday Night Opry will continue through Dec. 15. Shows will be staged at the historic Ryman Auditorium through Jan. 30, 210.
