Grand Ole Opry Month on GAC

Grand Ole Opry StageFor GAC, the "O" in October stands for Opry. The Country Music network has devoted four weeks to the ideal for aspiring Country artists and home for Country Music legends: the Grand Ole Opry.The series and specials airing throughout the month are in honor of the Opry's 83rd birthday, which began as an entertainment show that "made Country Music famous." Special programs include:

  • New editions of Opry Live, featuring live performances from the Grand Ole Opry with Wynonna, Lady Antebellum, Rodney Atkins, Sara Evans, Montgomery Gentry, Kellie Pickler, Opry member Josh Turner, Jimmy Wayne, Chuck Wicks and more. The series airs Saturdays at 9 p.m. EST.
  • Fans of the live show can vote at www.gactv.com for their favorite 2008 Opry Live episodes, which will then be aired Tuesday evenings at 8 p.m. EST.
  • The weekend of Oct. 11 and 12 brings an Opry Live marathon.
  • Country Music artist Craig Morgan will be inducted live on Oct. 25 at 9 p.m. EST.
  • A grand finale will take place on Nov. 1 with a tribute to Grand Ole Opry member Little Jimmy Dickens, who will be celebrating his 60th Opry anniversary. Tune in at 9 p.m. for performances by Trace Adkins, George Jones and Brad Paisley.
