Betts In addition to Taylor Swift’s enthusiastic response after being nominated for a Grammy yesterday, here’s what some of the other nominated artists had to say when they heard the news:  ·          Tim McGraw was reading at his daughter's school when he found out about his four Grammy nominations, including one for Best Country Collaboration with Vocals on "I Need You" with wife Faith Hill. “The Grammys stand for credibility, so to be recognized for your work by the members is the highest tribute,” says Tim. ·          Dierks Bentley was getting ready for a show in Boston when he heard the news of his four Grammy nods. “I live and love country music, and I am looking forward to a great night with my fellow nominees,” he says. ·          Vince Gill, who was nominated in the multi-genre Album of the Year category for his four-disc set These Days, says, “You think at some point, they're gonna say, 'Thanks for playing, now go home.'... To get a couple of nominations today was a great thrill.” Vince has won 18 Grammys throughout his career. ·          Reba McEntire and Kelly Clarkson were nominated in the Best Vocal Collaboration category for their duet “Because of You.” Says Kelly, “To be nominated for a Grammy for singing with [Reba] is one of the highlights of my career.” ·          Emerson Drive’s Brad Mates was in the studio working on the band's upcoming album when he got the news of their first-ever Grammy nomination. “We're all just floored right now,” he says. “So, it's huge.” ·          Trisha Yearwood, who found out about her nomination before taping an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show in Los Angeles yesterday, says “I knew the album wouldn't be eligible to be nominated. It didn't even occur to me that the single might be eligible.” Trisha performs her Grammy-nominated tune on Ellen today (12/7). ·          Montgomery Gentry garnered their first Grammy nomination, with a nod for their hit “Lucky Man” in the category of Best Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals. “We are excited and humbled,” says Troy Gentry. “We have won an ACM, CMA and an American Music Award, but have never received a Grammy nomination in our ten years of making music together. Receiving this nomination completes the circle for me and my recording partner and best friend, Eddie Montgomery.” To which Eddie adds, “I am speechless. We are so humbled by this honor. We want to thank our families, friends, fans, supporters, and most of all, God who makes all things happen.”
