10/31/2007 Stephen L. Betts With three consecutive Top 5 hits to his credit, American Idol season two finalist and former Marine Josh Gracin is, well, crazy about his latest single, “We Weren’t Crazy,” because he’s finally getting a chance to tell a more personal story with his music. “When we recorded the first album I was on active duty and flying back and forth between Nashville and Camp Pendleton,” says Josh. “It was so busy that I never really got to try my hand at writing. This time around I got to dig in and share my stories as a songwriter. I’m so proud of how this song turned out.” “We Weren’t Crazy,” was co-written by Josh, Tony Lopacinski, and Bobby Pinson, and traces Josh’s personal journey from childhood to raising children to having a family of his own. Josh Gracin’s self-titled debut CD is certified gold, with sales of more than 690,000 copies. The first single from the project, “I Want to Live,” was also his first hit – climbing to No. 4 on the country charts. Josh’s second single, “Nothin’ to Lose,” was his first No. 1 record. His third single “Stay with Me (Brass Bed)” was a Top 5 hit. Josh will release his sophomore CD on Lyric Street Records in 2008.
