1/28/2008 Stephen L. Betts Vince Gill spent Saturday (1/26) helping pets at Nashville’s Metro Animal Control facility find new homes. The singer promoted pet adoptions and also read books to children passing through the shelter. Judy Ladebauche of Metro Animal Control told WKRN-TV, “It makes a huge difference to the community when they know someone like Vince Gill will take his time, then hopefully they will follow his lead and join us also.” Organizers said the event was a success, with several animals finding new homes.
