Gloriana's Debut Single Goes Gold

Gloriana
It is difficult for any aspiring musicians to break into the music industry, let alone experience a great deal of success. However, the fresh new Country Music group Gloriana continues to dominate the charts and can now celebrate the accomplishment of their debut single going gold.

Gloriana received a plaque Sept. 23 at the “Pickin’ on the Patio” event from Emblem Records’ President, Dean Serletic, and Warner Music Nashville’s President and CEO, John Esposito. The plaque is in honor of the certification by the Recording Industry Association of America, which marks the Country quartet selling more than 500,000 singles for “Wild at Heart.” This single, which is off the band’s self-titled debut album, was the best selling single from a new Country act in 2009.

"We are incredibly excited about Gloriana's future! They have continued to grow their ardent fan base, as shown by the success of 'Wild at Heart,'” said Esposito. “The band is starting work on their sophomore release, which will be the next step in further paving their long and successful career path in Country Music. We're proud to have them in our family!"

The group includes Rachel Reinert, Cheyenne Kimball and brothers Tom and Mike Gossin. Gloriana won the 2009 AMA for Breakthrough Artist of the Year, the fan-voted awards for ACM Top New Vocal Group of the Year and the “Nationwide On Your Side Award” at the 2009 CMT Awards. Currently, the band on the road bringing their Long Hot Summer Tour to an end.
