Rising Country Music group Gloriana received an ACM Award nomination for Top New Vocal Group. This award, along with Top New Solo Vocalist and Top New Vocal Duo, will be open to interactive fan voting.
The winner of each category will be announced in mid-March, with the winner moving on to compete for the title of Top New Artist of the Year at the 45th Annual American Country Music Awards on April 18.
Gloriana was recently named Breakout Artist of the Year at the AMA Awards and hopes to add an ACM Award to their collection.
"It is an absolute honor to be nominated for an ACM Award," said Rachel Reinert of Gloriana. “We are going from just attending the ACM Awards and playing Freemont Street last year, before our CD was even released, to being nominated this year. We are all just so thankful for that and for all the support we have been getting – it’s amazing.”
It has been a successful year for the Country Music group with their top selling debut single, "Wild at Heart" as well as a successful debut album in 2009. The group will soon be opening for Taylor Swift at several of her tour spots in Australia and the U.S. Additionally, the group has already toured with Country Music stars such as Alan Jackson, Jason Aldean and Dierks Bentley.
