Gloriana Brings Awareness to Afterschool Programs

Gloriana
Gloriana will represent Country Music when the foursome teams up with Quaker Chewy Granola Bars and non-profit organization Afterschool Alliance for the Quaker Chewy Afterschool Rocks campaign, an effort helping to provide resources to more than 25,000 afterschool programs nationwide.

More than 15 million children are alone and left unsupervised after the school day ends due to a lack of affordable programs. The Quaker Chewy Afterschool Rocks campaign is dedicated to help bridge the gap by building support for more afterschool programs.

To do their part, the ACM Top New Vocal Group is recording several exclusive videos on http://www.quakeroats.com/afterschoolrocks and giving fans the chance to download five songs from their 2009 self-titled debut album.

“Gloriana was a natural fit as a featured artist for the Quaker Chewy Afterschool Rocks campaign because of their personal experiences with – and support for – afterschool programs,” said Bill Fiely, senior manager of Quaker Snack Bars. “We hope Gloriana’s music and behind-the-scenes videos will help to inspire and energize a new generation of afterschool activities.”

Gloriana is currently in the studio recording the band’s second album and on the road for their Long Hot Summer Tour 2010 through the fall.
