'Girl' Goes Gold for Joe Nichols

Eight weeks ago, Joe Nichols’ single, “Gimme That Girl,” was the first multi-week No. 1 single for 2010. Today, Nichols has a little more to celebrate. “Gimme That Girl” has been certified Gold by the RIAA, selling 500,000 digital downloads.
 
Nichols’ single also gave him the title of the sixth artist since 2008 to top the charts for three consecutive weeks.
 
Nichols newest single, “The Shape I’m In," hit radio airwaves this Monday, July 19. Both “The Shape I’m In” and “Gimmie That Girl” were written by Rhett Akins, Dallas Davidson and Ben Hayslip.
