4/3/2008 Lisa Ann Schleipfer Bluegrass fans give it up for Gibson!  The well-know musical instrument manufacturer is creating a new, 2008 limited edition banjo in honor of Bluegrass great Earl Scruggs.  The Commemorative Limited Edition Earl Scruggs Flint Hill Special marks the 50th anniversary of the release of Foggy Mountain Jamboree. Only 20 models of the banjo will be made, and buyers will be rewarded with several pieces of Earl Scruggs memorabilia, including a CD copy of Foggy Mountain Jamboree and a signed copy of Scruggs’ banjo book.  The first five to purchase the one-of-a-kind instrument will receive an autographed and framed Flint Hill Special tablature from the Scruggs book, and Earl’s Scruggs signature on the back of the peghead.
