Dolly Says “Get Dolly…on the radio!”

3/20/2008 Staff Dolly Parton is making a big push for more airplay for her latest album, Backwoods Barbie.  People magazine’s web sites reports Dolly was laughing when she said, “Stop this attitude that older people ain’t any good anymore!  We’re as good as we ever were – if we ever were any good.” Dolly, who is 62, released Backwoods Barbie in February.  People also quoted Dolly as saying “Get Dolly Parton back on the radio!  Get me back on mainstream.” Speaking of mainstream, Dolly recently had this to say to AOL about her goddaughter Miley Cyrus,  "She's like a little Elvis.  I think that she's gonna have a big career after that show is off the air, but I'm amazed at the talent that child has and the effect she has on people. And a lot of that ain't just Disney; a lot of that is Miley."
