George Strait released his current single, "Living for the Night," just three weeks ago and it is already sitting in the Top 15 on the Billboard Hot Country chart. What makes this even better is that Strait co-wrote the song with his son, Bubba, and well-known songwriter Dean Dillon.

This is the first song Strait has had a hand in writing since his 1982 hit, "I Can't See Texas From Here."  He also co-wrote two other songs for his up-and-coming Twang album. Twang makes Strait's 38th studio album, which he also co-produced with hit producer Tony Brown. The team recorded this record in Key West, Fla., where they recorded Strait's last two albums.

Strait's son, Bubba, also wrote "Arkansas Dave" for the album. "It makes a papa proud to have my son contributing to the creation of this record. We had a great time writing with each other and then Dean adding his magic made it even more special. I hope the people that buy this record have as much fun listening to it as I had making it," Strait beamed.

With the success of his single and high demand of his next album, the album release date has been moved up to Aug. 11.
