One of country music’s greatest legends, George Strait, will offer fans a single disc collection of his greatest hits on Sept. 13, 2011. Having been inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2006, George has sold nearly 69 million records, with 33 different platinum or multi-platinum albums, and has the most RIAA platinum certifications in country music and third in all genres (behind the Beatles and Elvis Presley). George currently holds the record for the most number one singles of any artist in history (and that includes Elvis Presley).

 
Universal Music Enterprises will release George Strait – Icon, an 11-song single disc collection packed with No. 1 hits, signature tracks, and fan favorites to pay tribute to one of the most popular and influential country singers of the last three decades.
 
George entered the country music scene in the early ‘80s and continues to earn the hearts of country music fans today. His 39th studio album, Here For A Good Time, will be released through MCA Nashville on Sept. 6, 2011.
