And the Hits just keep on coming for George Strait!

George Strait’s new song “Here For A Good Time” from his upcoming MCA Nashville album lands its place on the Billboard Hot Country Songs Chart. The single has become the second highest debut in his career. It landed the No. 29 slot on its official add date at radio, becoming the most added song at country radio this week with 80 adds.

The new single is Strait’s 89th career single. It was written by Strait, his son Bubba and songwriter Dean Dillon.

"I think this is the longest time, during my recording career, without anything new on the radio,” says Strait. “It’s good to be back and I want to thank country radio for their continued support. Have a great summer!”

Strait has been with fans for more than 30 years and continues to make top songs. He has the most number one singles of any artist in history including Elvis with a total of 57. In 2006, Strait was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame. With nearly 69 million sold records and 33 different platinum or multi-platinum albums it’s no wonder!

His last album Twang, debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 chart and the Top Country Albums chart. His new album is scheduled for release this fall.
