Garth Won't Be Trisha's Ex

5/9/2008 Kasey Bell When Country Music artist Trisha Yearwood made her video “This is Me You’re Talking To,” she picked actor John Corbett to play the part of her ex.  However, he was not Trisha's first pick. The female Country singer initially wanted husband Garth Brooks to play the part.  Garth, who will be honored with the ACM Crystal Milestone Award, decided against it, and Trisha agrees entirely with his decision.  “Garth and I kind of made a pinky swear early on that we would not gratuitously use each other in videos,” Trisha said.  “We just kind of want to make sure that we make it special.” Instead, Trisha turned to Corbett, known best for his roles on Sex and the City and My Big Fat Greek Wedding.  Trisha said that she couldn’t have found a better match. “He was so sweet to say yes,” Yearwood said.  “I think he made a great song an even better video, because people want to see it, and they respond to the song.”
