10/19/2007 Stephen L. Betts   A shirtless singer stands in the rain looking forlorn while the music of his latest single plays in the background. That’s the scenario of what will surely be one of the most talked about country music videos of the year – mainly because the singer is Garth Brooks, and the song is his recent chart-topping single, “More Than a Memory.” Garth has crafted some of the most unique, visionary videos in any musical genre throughout his career, but he freely admits this one was proved just a bit unnerving for him. He explains that playing the part of a man missing someone so much he's nearly going crazy took him out of his comfort zone. But Garth is quick to credit the video’s producer, director, and crew for giving him the confidence to pull it off. The video which premiered Friday, kicks off two solid months of special GAC programming centered on Garth Brooks and his music. The clip will air several times each day during regular music video programming through Oct. 26. The exclusive television premiere of the new Garth video is the first of many special programs GAC will present this fall as the network becomes “The Home of Garth Brooks.” On Nov. 3, Garth joins GAC personality Lorianne Crook for an exclusive one-on-one conversation on Offstage with Lorianne Crook  On Nov. 6, Garth releases The Ultimate Hits, a three-disc set containing 30 classics, three new songs and a bonus track on two audio CDs. The set also includes a DVD with 33 videos, including never-before seen footage. GAC will premiere a 60-minute music special Garth Brooks: The Ultimate Hits, on Nov. 18 (8 p.m. ET). The program documents the story behind production of the three-disc set. “More Than a Memory” made country-music history, entering the charts at No. 1 when it was released to radio in September.
