GAC Introducing New Artists

2/19/2008 Meaghan Mitchell Two Capitol Records artists will be featured on GAC's newest series, Introducing…. The series visits the hometowns of rising stars, discovering where they came from and how they’ve succeeded in country music. In the premiere episode, airing Feb. 24, Luke Bryan's journey to Nashville is chronicled.  Growing up on a peanut farm in Georgia, Luke had a passion for country music, and made plans to move to Music City. But after family tragedy, he made the decision to stay working with his father on the farm. Putting his Nashville dreams on hold, Luke says “it was almost as if I took Nashville and put it in this hidden place and I just shut it off. My dad finally told me, 'If you don't move to Nashville, I'm going to fire you here in the next month.'" Luke’s label mates, Lady Antebellum, will be featured in the second episode of the series, scheduled to air March 20.
