Food Network Wine Tasting in Nashville Benefits Cancer Fund

Women Rock For The Cure (WRFTC) is adding some pink Southern comfort to the upcoming Food Network Southern Food & Wine Festival at Gaylord Opryland Resort in Nashville this weekend. The premiere event includes a variety of exhibitors, food and wine samplings, food competitions, plus live cooking seminars and exclusive opportunities to meet Food Network celebrity chefs, including Alton Brown, Bobby & Jamie Deen and The Neelys.
As part of the weekend festivities, Women Rock For The Cure will also be hosting an educational and informative talk; Defensive Eating: Soy Facts, Myths and Connection to Breast Cancer, presented by Saint Thomas Hospital nutritionist Randy Pendergrass on Saturday, August 1 at 7 p.m. In addition, Women Rock For The Cure will be an on-site exhibitor providing awareness materials on the importance of early detection and the upcoming Susan G. Komen Race For The Cure® event in Nashville on Oct. 10.
With the recent non-profit status, WRFTC is pinker than ever and always rockin' to reach the organization's vision; WRFTC is committed to fighting breast cancer by utilizing the passion, creativity and strength of the entertainment industry to find inspiring ways to raise money for Susan G. Komen for the Cure® Greater Nashville, as well as creating awareness programs for men and women of all ages.
