Overwhelming radio demand and listener support for Darrly Worley’s latest recording, "Keep the Change," has prompted Stroudavarious records to release the single to Country radio today.

The decision was made after Worley gave a partial performance of the song during a set at the WYCD Hoedown in Detroit.

“By the time we were halfway through the song, the crowd went nuts,” Worley said.

Tim Roberts, OM/PD of WYCD, said the single is an “all-American no-brainer for radio.”

“This song really relates to the blue collar core in Detroit,” said Roberts. “Since day one, phones have lit up every time we play it. Our audience wants to get on the air to share their feelings about what’s going on in America today and Darryl Worley has given them a voice.”

"Keep the Change" quickly filtered from WYCD to other major radio markets in Tampa, San Diego, San Antonio and Salt Lake City, gaining popularity and playtime.

The first single from Worley’s upcoming fall release, God & Country, "Keep the Change" is a proclamation of frustration felt towards the government by many of the people the performer has met while on tour.

“My job as a songwriter is to listen to people and come up with something they’ll relate to,” Worley said.

“I’m not a real political person,” he continued. “I am a very patriotic person. The best way I can describe this song is to say it’s not red or blue; it’s red, white and blue.”
