Faith-Hill

Faith Hill will perform a free concert in New Orleans on Aug. 24 to mark the fifth anniversary of Hurricane Katrina. The event will be sponsored by the Tide Loads of Hope program. The Mississippi native will perform at the Mahalia Jackson Theater, which was rebuilt after the devastation of Katrina.

Tickets will be distributed through radio stations in the Gulf Coast. The Tide Loads of Hope program features a truck outfitted with 32 energy-efficient Frigidaire Affinity washers and dryers that can do 300 wash and dry cycles a day. Relief workers, first responders and individuals can drop off their laundry to be washed, dried and folded, free of charge. To date, Tide has washed more than 36,000 loads of laundry for more than 27,000 families.
