Kristy Lee Cook, one of the finalists for American Idol, had her debut album, Why Wait, released Tuesday from 19 Recordings/Arista Nashville. Cook will also be performing on Live With Regis and Kelly on Friday, Sept. 19, to end an already eventful week. Other albums in stores now are from Darius Rucker, the Eli Young Band, Charlie Louvin and Robin & Linda Williams. Rucker’s album, Learn To Live, is his first solo album after being lead man for many years with the band Hootie & the Blowfish. Another big release this week is The Imus Ranch Record. Big & Rich, Vince Gill, Willie Nelson, Little Richard and Dwight Yoakem are some of the artists with new music on the album. Proceeds from the album will benefit the Imus Ranch, a cattle ranch that children with cancer and other blood diseases can visit. The ranch is run by Don Imus, a radio personality, and his wife Deirdre.
