Sara Evans Engaged

3/25/2008 Staff Sara Evans To Wed   Sara Evans is engaged to marry Birmingham radio host Jay Barker, her publicist confirmed in an article on People magazine’s web site. "The couple are enjoying their engagement and look forward to their upcoming nuptials," Lori Genes, who represents Evans, told People. No date has been set for the ceremony. Evans has been dating Barker, who led the University of Alabama to its last national football championship in 1992, since last fall.  He has four children from his previous marriage. He and his former wife, Amy, were divorced last year. Evans, best known for her country hits "Born to Fly" and "Perfect," has three children from her previous marriage and lives in Franklin, Tenn., a suburb of Nashville.  She made headlines when she dropped out of a "Dancing With the Stars" competition due to marital difficulties and subsequently filed for divorce.
