Sara Evans Receives Red Cross Award

6/9/2008 Amber Garner Sara Evans received a national award June 6 from the Red Cross at a fan club party in Nashville. According to cmt.com Evans has been a member of the Celebrity Cabinet since 2005. Evans dedicated her Crystal Cross Award to her fans. She gave a performance with her band and thanked her fans for all of their support during her divorce. “This time last year at my fan club party, I have to be honest with you, I don’t remember much about that night or much about that week or that whole year because I was under a tremendous amount of stress. I was crying all the time. And you guys have been there with me through all of it. I have received so many letters and e-mails full of well wishes, and people telling me they were praying for me and your prayers worked. I just want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart because I’m not even the same girl I was last year. I’ve never felt more blessed, I’ve never felt more love, I’ve never felt happier and I’ve never felt healthier. And I’ve never felt more loved than I do right now. I just want you to know how much I appreciate it.”
