Correspondent Steve Kroft spoke with Glenn Frey, Don Henley, Timothy B Schmit, and Joe Walsh, at a stripped-down rehearsal hall in Los Angeles, covering topics including the group’s CD distribution deal with Wal-Mart, the individual egos and personalities within the group, and their influential, signature sound. "There's a certain sound that we make when we sing together, that over the past 35 years has become ingrained in people's minds,” Don Henley said. “I can't sound like that with anybody else except these guys.” The Eagles Long Road Out of Eden, the group’s first studio album in 28 years, topped the both the Billboard 200 and the Country Album charts in its first week of release.
