Doobie Brothers Prepare To Make Opry Debut

The Grammy award-winning group The Doobie Brothers will make their Grand Ole Opry debut on Sat., Feb. 26.
 
Performing hits from their latest album release “World Gone Crazy,” founders Pat Simmons and Tom Johnston will perform alongside members John McFee and Guy Allison and touring member John Cowan.
 
The Doobie Brothers will start their 40th Anniversary celebration in April 2011. Known as one of the greatest American bands of all time, the band has sold over 40 million records and has had countless hits and chart toppers. The band connected with country music fans through hits such as “Black Water” and “Long Train Running” and most recently with “I Know We Won.”
 
Fans can go to opry.com until Thurs., Feb 24, to enter to win a chance to meet The Doobie Brothers backstage at the Opry on the night of their performance. Other weekend performers include Vince Gills, Alison Kraus, Montgomery Gentry and Gretchen Wilson. Carrie Underwood, The Band Perry and Blake Shelton will all grace the Opry stage in March.
