12/18/2007 Stephen L. Betts Dolly Parton served up peanut butter fudge and whoopie pies (cookies and cream cake) to the stars of the upcoming Broadway musical, 9 to 5. According to www.eonline.com, Dolly served the cast homemade treats every morning. "Dolly would come every day in her unbelievable outfits," says former West Wing star Allison Janney, who plays the role made famous by Lily Tomlin in the 1980 film. Allison also reveals that Dolly has written nearly 20 songs for the musical adaptation. “She would sit there and write new lyrics during the course of the day,” Allison says. “She would write lyrics on a paper plate. I would be trying to take the paper plates home with me, but she has people who grab those kinds of things to save them for her archives.” Dolly is soon to embark on a world tour in support of Backwoods Barbie, her first new studio album since 2005. She’ll launch the tour with a limited U.S. run, beginning Feb. 28 in Minneapolis, and wraps up March 12 in Atlanta before heading to Europe in June.
