Dolly Visits Porter in Hospital

Betts As we first reported this weekend Grand Ole Opry star and Country Music Hall of Fame member Porter Wagoner has been diagnosed with lung cancer and remains in a Nashville area hospital. On Friday, Porter’s former duet partner Dolly Parton visited him in the hospital. She sent a letter to the Grand Ole Opry saying he was feeling better and was in good spirits, but was not feeling great. “I promised I’d sing with him on his first night back [at the Grand Ole Opry],” Dolly said in the letter.
