Dolly Announces Rescheduled Tour Dates

2/14/2008 Just days after postponing the first dates of her Backwoods Barbie tour, Dolly Parton announces the initial rescheduled dates. The tour - in support of Dolly’s Backwoods Barbie album, due out Feb. 26 on Dolly Records – is now set to begin April 22 in Pittsburgh. Tickets will be honored for the new dates. Last week, Dolly had been instructed by doctors to rest her back for six to eight weeks and she is expected to fully recuperate in time for the April 22 kick-off. Her upcoming European tour (which kicks off June 13 in Sweden) was not affected. “Hey, thanks for being patient,” says Dolly. “I'm mending very nicely and will be fit as a fiddle soon. And I'll not only have the fiddle, but the rest of the band as well. We can't wait to hit the road for our Backwoods Barbie tour. We're anxious for you to see our new show and play you some of the new songs.
