Dolly Takes Reading Program to UK

Betts Dolly Parton was in London this week to announce the launch of her Imagination Library project in the U.K. The program provides books to children every month from birth until they reach kindergarten. Dolly launched the Imagination Library in her home state of Tennessee 10 years ago, and it has since spread across America and into Canada. Dolly says there are not enough books for kids anymore, “with all the TV and video games and all that.” Dolly will return to the U.K. next July as a part of her upcoming world tour.
