Dixie Chicks Soar with the Eagles in L.A.

8/8/2007 Stephen L. Betts The Dixie Chicks and the Eagles will headline two concerts inaugurating the new Nokia Theatre in downtown Los Angeles. Tickets go on sale Monday (Aug. 13) via Ticketmaster for the shows taking place on Oct. 18 and 20. The concerts are the only U.S. concerts either band has scheduled for this year. The Eagles' new CD, Long Road Out of Eden, will be released in October. The Chicks earned five Grammy awards earlier this year for their album, Taking the Long Way. The 7,100-seat Nokia Theatre was constructed within the L.A. Live entertainment and retail complex located adjacent to Staples Center.
