8/23/2007 Stephen L. Betts   Dierks Bentley tells The Tennessean that he’s ready for Nashville’s stifling summer temperature, which is expected to be still be in the upper 90's by the he time he takes the stage at tonight as part of the Capitol Pub Crawl: Dungan Takes Demonbreun event. The free concert, being thrown by Capitol Records Nashville president Mike Dungan, begins at 5 p.m. and also features Eric Church, Luke Bryan and Lady Antebellum. "This summer is the hottest summer I can remember, for sure," Dierks says. Recently, he played before a huge crowd at a state fair. "I thought it was cool that everybody was waving to me to get my attention," he says. "They were actually using fans. "We played the Missouri State Fair a few nights ago, and I told the crowd, 'We played Calgary about a week ago and it was completely raining, but I think I'm more drenched here tonight.' It was so hot that I was more soaked inside out. "Fortunately, I'm from Arizona, so the heat doesn't bother me as much as some people. It doesn't really slow us down. In a sick way, I kind of enjoy it. It really feels like you've accomplished something when you're drenched in sweat."
