Dierks Bentley Holds Pre-ACM Bash

Dierks-2011
In preparation for the festivities at the Academy of Country Music Awards, Dierks Bentley threw a pre-award show beach party Saturday on Las Vegas' Mandalay Bay Beach.

The event began with a VIP party, which showcased Bentley’s tour openers Miss Willie Brown and Josh Thompson.

Bentley's set followed with hit songs like “Feel That Fire,” “Every Mile a Memory,” “Free and Easy,” and his latest single “Am I The Only One.”

The crowd rocked along with Bentley, drinks raised high in the air. At one point, Bentley was handed a beer by a fan -- he took a drink and then gave it right back.

“I hope that helps somebody get lucky tonight,” said Bentley after his performance of “I Wanna Make You Close Your Eyes."

He also played “Lot of Leavin’ Left to Do,” “What Was I Thinkin’,” “Sideways,” and “Settle for a Slow Down.” He also covered some of his favorites, such as “Ocean Front Property” by George Strait and Waylon Jennings’ “Good Ole Boys.” He also managed a bluegrass influenced version of Billy Idol’s “Rebel Yell.”

Bentley will release his sixth studio album later this year. The next stop on his Jagermeister Country Tour is Houston, Texas, on April 6.
