Deborah Allen Takes Wrong Turn In Memphis

Deborah-Allen
Recording artist Deborah Allen took a wrong turn in Memphis and nearly found herself in violation of the Patriot Act.

The singer thought she had found a prime location to shoot a video for her new release, “Amazing Graceland,” but she had wandered into an area heavily protected by Homeland Security.

Authorities were alerted when surveillance cameras caught Allen, her manager Raymond Hicks and video director Mark Nicolosi scouting an area under the old Memphis-Arkansas Bridge. Officers were quick to respond with weapons drawn and followed with an extensive interrogation and search, which led them to believe that Allen and her crew were no terrorist threat.

After the mayhem had settled, the officers listened to “Amazing Graceland,” a tribute to the life and home of Elvis Presley, and Allen invited the officers to attend her Sept. 10 performance at the Performing Arts Center in Bartlett, Tenn.

“Amazing Graceland” is available on i-Tunes and can be heard on the singer’s website, www.deborahallen.com.
