Country Music singer Darryl Worley will perform “God Bless America” during the pre-game ceremony for the 10th Annual U.S. Army All-American Bowl at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas, this Saturday.
A lifelong football fan and avid supporter of the Armed Forces, Worley will also perform at the 10th Anniversary Celebration and Awards dinner earlier in the week.
The Army Bowl is considered to be the nation's premier All-American game, with a legacy that includes many of today's NFL and college stars. Reggie Bush, Vince Young and Adrian Peterson all made their national debuts as U.S. Army All-Americans.
The game, broadcast on NBC, will introduce the next generation of great football players while embracing the mental, emotional and physical qualities these players share with Army Strong Soldiers.
The annual game has become one of the Army's largest public outreach programs, providing the Army with the opportunity to showcase the many opportunities available to young Americans and the chance for Americans to experience the many diverse elements of the world's finest team.
Worley will release his new single, "Best of Both Worlds," on Jan. 25. The song is from his latest album, Sounds Like Life. For more news about Darryl Worley, visit www.darrylworley.com.
