Country Music star Darryl Worley will host the annual “Hitmakers on the Harbor” event at the Pier 57 boat dealership in Pickwick, Tenn., on Friday, May 14.
“Hitmakers on the Harbor” is an event where top songwriters discuss the stories behind their songs. Walt Aldridge and Jim “Moose” Brown, best known for his Grammy Award-winning song “It’s Five O’Clock Somewhere,” which was recorded by Alan Jackson and Jimmy Buffet, will join Worley in Pickwick.
"I always look forward to getting together with these great writers. We always have such a good time," Worley said. "Not only are you getting a chance to connect with the music you love and hear the stories behind your favorite songs, it's also a great opportunity to raise money and help a lot of people who need it."
All proceeds collected at “Hitmakers on the Harbor” will go to the Darryl Worley Foundation. “Hitmakers on the Harbor” is the first of five songwriter events which lead up to Worley’s annual Tennessee River Run, a four-day festival in mid-September that benefits various charities through Worley’s Foundation.
Doors of "Hitmakers" will open at 6:30 p.m. and the show is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. Tickets are $75 per person or $750 for a table of 10, which includes the performance and a fish fry dinner. There will also be an opportunity for people to participate in a live auction.
