Darryl Worley was already tired when he arrived at the Nashville airport early Thursday morning, but little did he know things were about to get much worse. Worley had arrived to catch a 6:30 a.m. flight to Billings, Mont. before driving to a show in Miles City. When he arrived, he learned that lightning had struck the plane he was scheduled to take, and the flight was cancelled. Fortunately, a private jet was quickly arranged to get him to his destination.
He had just taken the stage in Montana when a large storm rolled in with 40-50 mph wind gusts, which blew the lid off of a road case that hit Worley in the head, reported CountryStandardTime.com. He was immediately taken to a local hospital where he was given seven stitches and released, after signing a few autographs and taking a few pictures.
Never one to let his fans down, Worley told his tour manager to tell the fans that he would come back and perform for any fans who stayed.  Sure enough, he returned to 800 fans who had weathered the storm. Worley performed for another hour before rain and lightning shut the show down for good.
