Darius Rucker Scores Fifth No. 1 Song

Darius Rucker has achieved success under Capitol Records Nashville that he never dreamed was possible, a fifth No. 1 single.
 
“This,” the second single from his 2010 "Charleston, SC 1966" is currently No. 1 on both Billboard and Mediabase charts.
 
“When we set out to record this album, we tried to choose songs that would mean something to the fans,” said Rucker.  “The single, 'This,' was a song I never thought would be a single, but that just shows you the power of the fans because they were the ones requesting it, downloading it, and playing it for their friends. It’s their support that has made my career in country music possible.” 
 
To celebrate his recent success, Rucker will perform in a series of New York City shows, including "Today," "Late Night With Jimmy Fallon," "The Wendy Williams Show," and a benefit concert "Live From Home with Darius Rucker" at Housing Works’ Bookstore Café.
