Darius Rucker’s second release for Capitol Records Nashville, Charleston, SC 1966, has earned the now-solo Country artist his second No. 1 album on Billboard’s Country Album Chart.

The album sold more than 100,000 copies in his first week, making it only the fourth Country album this year to do so.

“I’m so grateful for all the support,” said Rucker on his Twitter. “I couldn’t have done it without [the fans].”

The album’s title pays homage to Radney Foster’s Del Rio, Texas 1959, an album Rucker calls a “light switch” record.

“It really changed the way I heard music,” he said. “Not just Country Music, but the way I heard music in general – it was huge for me.”

Charleston, SC 1966 is available now on iTunes and in stores nationwide.
