Darius-RuckerAfter 22 years of leading the pop-rock band Hootie and the Blowfish Darius Rucker has found a new sound with Country Music. Though the band was very successful, Rucker decided it was time for him to move on to a solo career, focusing on Country Music and songwriting.Songwriting had always been a passion of Rucker’s as he wrote many hits for Hootie and the Blowfish, including “Hold My Hand,” “Time,” “Let Her Cry,” “Running From an Angel” and many others. But now, Rucker says he looks at songwriting in a different way.I used to only write when I was 'inspired,' and now I know that was a crock. I'd never co-written with anyone before. I've learned so much from these Nashville guys, and now I write all the time. I love it. I've already started to write the next record," Rucker told The Lafayette Journal & Courier.Rucker's debut Country album, Learn to Live, has already given him a No. 1 single, "Don't Think I Don't Think About It." His current single is "It Won't Be Like This For Long."
