Darius Rucker and friends successfully raised $48,720 for St. Jude cancer research after a sold-out benefit concert at the Wildhorse Saloon in downtown Nashville.

Other artists participating in the event were Radney Foster, Randy Houser, Jamey Johnson, Jake Owen and a special appearance by Kid Rock. Rucker was delighted after hearing about the success of the concert.

“I got to perform three songs with Radney Foster—the man who inspired me to get into music! I could not have envisioned a better night. I’m so thankful to the staff at St. Jude, my management team at McGhee Entertainment, the artists, my band, and everyone that made this event such a success,” said Rucker.

Rucker also made a special performance for the benefit concert. Rucker performed his new single, “Come Back Song,” for the first time before the song reaches radio on June 28. Rucker’s sophomore album scheduled to be released in October.
