10/18/2007 Stephen L. Betts   Danielle Peck has been invited by the Cleveland Indians to sing the national anthem at tonight's (10/18) playoff game against the Boston Red Sox. And although, according to The Tennessean, a Cleveland Indians spokeswoman was unaware of the connection when the invitation was made, one of the Red Sox players just happens to be Danielle’s former boyfriend, pitcher Josh Beckett. “It's the national anthem; I get to go to a game - hey, free tickets!” says Danielle. "I love a good game." She also says not rooting for either team. “I've got to cheer them both on.” Although Danielle has performed the anthem at football and baseball games and NASCAR events, she admits she never knows what to expect. “At some places, there's a five-second or 10-second delay,” she says. “Sometimes it's really bad. You are on the next line of what you are singing and the last line will come back at you. I really try to slow myself down to where I'm actually tapping my hands on my side to keep my own time. As long as I keep time with myself and keep going, usually it pans out.”   CountryHound – Country Music Fan’s Best Friend
