The International Bluegrass Music Awards last night rewarded newcomer duo Daily & Vincent as they took home Entertainer, Emerging Artist and Gospel Performance awards."We are very privileged and honored and we will carry this torch all year and try to do our best for bluegrass music," Darrin Vincent told the Associated Press. He and his partner, Jamie Dailey, were up for 10 awards.Their debut album, Daily & Vincent, was released in January and reached No. 1 on Billboard's bluegrass albums chart and spun hits on XM's bluegrass countdown with "By the Mark" and "More Than A Name On A Wall."Other winners from Thursday's festivities included Barry Bales of Union Station for Bass Player of the Year honors. "Thanks to Alison Krauss and Union Station for the best on-the-job training in the world," said Bales.Male Vocalist of the Year went to Jamie Dailey, while Dale Ann Bradley took home Female Vocalist of the Year.Michael Cleveland is now known as the top fiddle player, thanks to his father. "If it wasn't for him, I couldn't possibly do this," he said.The show was hosted by Bluegrass veteran Del McCoury and featured performances by Steep Canyon Rangers, Blue Highway, the Grascals and the SteelDrivers.For a complete list of winners click here.
