7/13/2007 SB Nashville's Tennessean reports that Craig Morgan will join Lonestar, Charlie Daniels, Collin Raye, Joe Diffie, and John Berry for “Home for a Hero,” a benefit concert to help a soldier from Nashville who's returning home after being wounded in Iraq. The show is scheduled for Nashville's Greer Stadium on July 17th. As a former Army paratrooper, Craig has naturally been an active supporter of the troops. But when the bearings on one of the wheels of his equipment trailer failed while on his way to a July 4th show in Fort Dix, New Jersey, Craig discovered the troops were supporting him as well. Unable to locate a mechanic because of the holiday, Craig called the base to explain that he'd be late for his show. Within an hour, a unit from the base motor pool arrived to help him get to the show on time. The next day, the Fort Dix motor pool mechanics repaired the singer's trailer and got him back on the road.
